Hello Families,
Over the past couple of weeks, we have been reading examples of stuck stories. Can your child tell you what a stuck story is?
Today, we read Tilly and the Wall by Leo Lionni. Tilly is a mouse who is trying to get over a wall to see what is on the other side. First, she and her friends try to climb over the fence. Next, she tries to puncture the wall with a nail. Then, she tries to walk around the wall. We stopped reading after her third failed attempt.
Our next writing project is inspired by Tilly. We will be writing our own stuck stories! Take a look at some the mice we created today.
Students are to brainstorm possible settings and 'walls' with their family this weekend.
Have a great weekend!
